Morning Walks Through the Woods – We take the well-worn path that Winnie has made throughout the 17 years that she has been a part of our family. The path takes us by a field of wildflowers. There is a gentle breeze blowing, and the flowers are swaying back and forth, creating a sea of purple, yellow, red, and white on a backdrop of green and gold grasses.

Bird Life at Spring Meadows – Baby Birds 2015 Part 2
Part 2 of the Baby Birds 2015 at Spring Meadows. The baby bird eggs have hatched and it is so exciting to watch them grow! There is a lot more movement in the nest and I am beginning to see their little bodies taking shape. The nest is located in a fern hanging on my front porch. The mama bird is very gracious to let me water the fern as long as I as I am careful to not disturb the nest!

For the last few weeks, we have had a mystery guest in our barn. Each evening at feeding time, we noticed most of the cat food was gone. The heavy rolls of wire placed on top of the feed box did not detour whatever was getting to the food. Finally, we set the cage...Chickadees at Spring Meadows
