Accusations

When someone makes false accusations against another person, the basis of the accusation most of the time comes from the heart of the accuser and based on what the accuser would do if placed in the same situation. Use care with words…they give strong evidence of your character and what is in your heart.

Matthew 7:17 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
“In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit.”

So we have a choice. Be the accuser, the audience (listeners) for the accuser, or the one who stands for what is right. If we keep our hearts in line with God’s Word, then how can we be an accuser or the powerful listener?

Facts, pure and simple, tell the truth. Not opinions.

If you find yourself accused of something, always look inward first. It is time to do a heart check. Make sure there is no truth to the accusation. If there is, get it right. Immediately. Then, trust God. Matters of the heart belong to God and God alone. He will show you the path to take.

And, as Forrest Gump would say, “That’s all I have to say about that.”
