I believed it would and it did! We got a beautiful snowfall. What a fun day and I’ve loved all of it. I’m glad I still have my inside Christmas decor throughout the house. Wish the outside was still decorated. The snow seems like we are experiencing Christmas all over again. Snow in the south, so unexpected and fun.
January 10, 2025. What a fun snow day. I do not want this day to end.
We don’t get snow very often here in the deep south, but when we do, we make it a fun day to stay home, play, drink hot chocolate, sit by the fire and enjoy the view. And some of us brave the cold and build a snowman. We did!
Daisy Mae, our 14-month-old retriever, enjoyed her first time in the snow. She loved it and we had so much fun watching her play, run, bury her tennis ball in the snow then search for it. I wish I had her energy.
Whenever we came inside to get warm by the fire, she stood at the window or by the door, crying to go back outside. Â
We had a full day of play and now it’s late afternoon. Daisy Mae is exhausted and sleeping peacefully on her bed by the fire. Ever so often, I gaze out the window at the beautiful view of the pasture covered in white.
Snow, a cozy fire, hot chocolate, and a good book. Â I release a deep sigh of contentment and take another sip of the rich chocolate.
January in the south. We never know what to expect but we take advantage and enjoy the surprises we get ever so often. Thankful for a fun snow day. I’m happy to be in this place I call home.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Philippians 4:4
