A short video of a carpenter bee at work in the coneflower garden. He is harvesting the nectar and pollen. Close up view of the body, head, and legs helps find the difference between the carpenter bee and the bumble bee. My granddaughter named this carpenter bee “BeeWinkle!”
Part 2 of the Baby Birds 2015 at Spring Meadows. The baby bird eggs have hatched and it is so exciting to watch them grow! There is a lot more movement in the nest and I am beginning to see their little bodies taking shape. The nest is located in a fern hanging on my front porch. The mama bird is very gracious to let me water the fern as long as I as I am careful to not disturb the nest!
