This is a fun and simple recipe that I made with my two grands. They loved being creative and I enjoyed watcing, listening to their chatter and giggles as they created their works of art! It was as easy as anything we have done and taste so good! Be sure to make plenty! They go fast!
What You Need
1 bag nutter butter mini-bites (cookies)
1 bag Hersey Kisses
1 (6 oz.) bag Nestles semi-sweet morsels
Directions
Melt 1/4 cup semi-sweet morsels in a microwave safe dish. This will be your glue.
Unwrap a Hersey Kiss. Dip the flat end in the melted morsels, then press to the flat side of a nutter-butter mini-bite. Place a semi-sweet morsel into a small dab of melted morels on the opposite side of the mini-bite to create the stem of your acorn. Place on waxed paper to cool and harden. Repeat to create as many acorns as you will need.
One bag of nutter-butters will make about 80 acorns. These go fast, so make sure to prepare enough for everyone. Enjoy!
Fill a fruit jar with the Holiday Acorns and secure the top with a Thanksgiving gift tag and twine. The perfect way to say “Thank You” to neighbors and friends during the holiday season.
We will use our Squirrel Nut Dish to hold our Holiday Acorns. Great idea from my oldest granddaughter!
