We live in a society where people do not want to be held accountable for their actions. Irresponsible people are always looking for someone else to blame for their failures. As long as they can talk “loudly” about the failures of others, it will make them feel better and maybe, just maybe (for a while) justify their own actions. I see this on the news everyday, hear it from people in business, and… then see it in everyday life. Irresponsible people blaming someone else!
But wait.. the truth is…it’s a matter of the heart when it comes to the bottom line! When the heart is right, you make mistakes, but you do your best to correct your mistakes instead of justifying.
How you treat others is a sure sign of your true character. Daily “heart checkups” is a good thing! We should each make sure our actions line up with God’s Word.
Don’t just talk it, live it!
