Yesterday we said goodbye one of my sisters-in-law who passed away this week. We spent time with family, shared memories, and talked about the “gumbo” that she could cook like no one else! We watched a video of her life, each picture telling a story from her early years to her latter days.
The video reminded me of how each day of our life we create our legacy, and at the end of each day, we leave behind a little piece of who we are. Then, on our final day here, all of life’s “snapshots” come together to form our “footprint” that tells others we were here and how we lived our life.
For the second time this year, our family has been reminded of how fragile life really is, and our values and the love we give away is what matters the most in the end.
The greatest legacy my sister-in-law left behind is her son. We are proud to have him as part of our family. He is a man of integrity, strong faith in God, and any mother would be proud to call him her son!
