Tomato Gravy with Bacon

Tomato gravy and made from scratch biscuits bring back so many memories of growing up in the South. Early each morning, my mom cooked a breakfast which usually consisted of homemade biscuits served with butter and homemade jam, eggs (fresh – gathered each day), bacon, sausage or ham, grits, and fresh milk. When tomatoes were in season, the delicious tomato gravy was added to the breakfast lineup. That is just the way it was back then when life was simple.
