The baby bird eggs have hatched, and it is so exciting to watch them grow! The nest is located in a fern hanging on my front porch. I can water the fern from the sides since the nest is right in the center of the top! The mama bird is very gracious to let me water the fern as long as I am careful not to disturb the nest.

The mama bird is small, possibly a wren. Whenever I come near the nest, she flies away quickly, so it is hard to get a good look at her. The eggs are about 1/2-inch across. The spots on the eggs look brown/purple. I have several nesting boxes around, but guess she prefers the fern!

Enjoy the series of videos as together we watch them grow!
