I have a plan. I am going to dig up all the dandelions I can find (there is no shortage!) and plant them on a path with a rock border. I will call the walking path the &#8220;Wishing Path.&#8221; As they go to seed, you can pluck a few, but use care not to disturb the tender globe of seeds.\u00a0 Then, make a wish as you blow and scatter the seeds.<\/p>\n<p>They are beautiful with their yellow heads that look like daisies. When they go to seed, the heads are a delicate mystery when blown by the wind to who knows where. But there is more to this unappreciated wildflower!<\/p>\n<p>A cup of dandelion greens has only 35 calories per cup and 1 gram of fat. (I have never eaten it!) And, the petals can be used to make a sweet, robust wine. I remember years ago my dad bringing home a bottle of dandelion wine made by the Amish in Ohio. I was too young to taste it!<\/p>\n<p>It is a powerhouse of nutrition. It is full of vitamins A, B, C, and D, as well as minerals, such as iron, potassium, and zinc.<\/p>\n<p>The dandelion is more than a pesky weed! Does it make you think about other things (or people) we have around us or in our life that we take for granted and never realize their beauty or their value?
