Old barn built by Lundsford Herron. | Life at Spring Meadows | Gardening Living Creating<\/p><\/div>\n

I enjoy history and especially when it connects my family today with their past. One of the gifts I gave to my husband for Christmas is a canvas print of the barn his grandfather (Lundsford Herron) built. I took the photo in the early 1980s.<\/p>\n

It was 1973 when I saw the old barn for the first time. Shortly after I took the photo, the barn burned down. Glad to have it documented and now this piece of history hangs on our wall.<\/p>\n

Ancestry.com<\/a> is the service I use for my research on family history. I have learned\u00a0much about my background through researching the family lineage. It is interesting to see handwritten documents, marriage licenses, death certificates, newspaper articles, and names of people I remember hearing my family mention when I was a child. Occasionally, I find photos of ancestors.<\/p>\n
