Garden Magic<\/em><\/h3>\n

This is the garden’s magic,
\nThat through the sunny hours
\nThe gardener who tends it, Himself outgrows his flowers.<\/p>\n

He grows by gift of patience,
\nSince he who sows must know
\nThat only in the Lord’s good time
\nDoes any seedling grow.<\/p>\n

He learns from buds unfolding,
\nFrom each tight leaf unfurled,
\nThat his own heart, expanding,
\nIs one with all the world.<\/p>\n

He bares his head to sunshine,
\nHis bending back a sign
\nOf grace, and ev’ry shower becomes
\nHis sacramental wine.<\/p>\n

And when at last his labors
\nBring forth the very stuff
\nAnd substance of all beauty
\nThis is reward enough.
