R.I.P. little squirrel&#8230; My other cat took the squirrel away from the first cat. Then, Bear, our chocolate lab came along and took the squirrel from the second cat. Then, a dog that lives down the road came wandering through our yard and managed somehow to take the squirrel away from Bear, running across the road into another neighbor&#8217;s yard with his stolen prize. Now, my 3 (Bear and the 2 cats) are sitting in the front yard, just watching the neighbors dog with what originally belonged to them. With our underground fence, our 3 could do nothing but watch and drool&#8230; The food chain principle didn&#8217;t apply in this situation&#8230; The neighbor&#8217;s dog was a thief.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, one of my cats captured a squirrel.
