I had a wonderful day yesterday with my youngest grand. We played, played some more, had snacks, lunch, played some more,and\u00a0then it was nap time (for both!). As we cuddled facing one another, I saw her sleepy eyes yield to the unwanted nap time, so I closed my eyes for a few minutes of rest while she slept. Then, ever so gently, I felt little fingers tracing across my eyebrow, the bridge of my nose, and across my face, then moving a strand of hair that had fallen across my eye. The feel of her tender loving hands reached deep into my soul.<\/p>\n

I resisted the urge to open my eyes as long as I could. Finally, when I did, the sweetest eyes were smiling back at me. As we lay there, just looking deep into one another's eyes, I thought of how much I want my grandkids to know me, to know my passion, to know my heart. She finally closed her eyes again, this time to a sound sleep.<\/p>\n

Today at church we sang a song, Ancient Words, that reminded me of that few special moments yesterday with Taylor and how much I want to pass down to them a passion for loving God, to know the heart of God, to know His Word.<\/p>\n
