Ancient Words<\/p><\/div>\n

I had a wonderful day yesterday with my youngest grand. We played, played some more, had snacks, lunch, played some more,and then it was nap time (for both!). As we cuddled facing one another, I saw her sleepy eyes yield to the unwanted nap time, so I closed my eyes for a few minutes of rest while she slept. Then, ever so gently, I felt little fingers tracing across my eyebrow, the bridge of my nose, and across my face, then moving a strand of hair that had fallen across my eye. The feel of her tender loving hands reached deep into my soul. <\/div>\n

I resisted the urge to open my eyes as long as I could. Finally, when I did, the sweetest eyes were smiling back at me. As we lay there, just looking deep into one another’s eyes, I thought of how much I want my grandkids to know me, to know my passion, to know my heart. She finally closed her eyes again, this time to a sound sleep.<\/div>\n

Today at church we sang a song, Ancient Words, that reminded me of that few special moments yesterday with Taylor and how much I want to pass down to them a passion for loving God, to know the heart of God, to know His Word.<\/div>\n
