\"no<\/a><\/p>\n

2 cups sugar
\n4 tablespoons cocoa
\n1 stick butter (not imitation; the real thing!), cut up pieces (melts faster)
\n1\/2 cup evaporated milk
\n3\/4 cup peanut butter
\n1 tsp. vanilla
\n2 3\/4 cups Quick Cooking oatmeal
\nWaxed paper<\/p>\n

Directions
\nIn a heavy saucepan, mix sugar and cocoa until blended together. Add milk and stir well. Add butter. Bring to a boil and then boil for 1 minute, no longer (and no less!). Add peanut butter and vanilla. After peanut butter is completely blended, then add oatmeal quickly, adding 2 1\/2 cups to begin with, then add the remainder of the oatmeal if needed. Most of the time I only add 2 1\/2 cups of the oatmeal. <\/p>\n

On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls. Let cool. Store in an airtight container.<\/p>\n

* Note: I use Old Fashioned Oatmeal instead of the Quick Cooking Oats that the recipe calls for because I like the taste of the oatmeal better.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
