Holiday Acorns

Holiday Acorns. This is a fun and simple recipe I made with my two grands. It was as easy as anything we have done and taste so good! Be sure to make plenty! They go fast!

Fill a fruit jar with the Holiday Acorns and secure the top with a Thanksgiving gift tag and twine. The perfect way to say “Thank You” to neighbors and friends during the holiday season.

Blackberry Cobbler

Blackberry Cobbler

Blackberry cobblers are hard to beat when topped with vanilla ice cream (sure do miss Blue Belle Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream!) In the last few weeks, I have been making blackberry cobblers, some for us, but most have been given away or my husband has taken them to work. I am using the berries that we put in the freezer from last season. Once thawed and baked in the cobbler, I cannot tell a difference between the frozen berries and the berries picked fresh from the bushes. I have several friends on my list that will be getting a cobbler very soon! Here is the recipe, the one that my grandmother used with a lattice top that is easy to make!

Rice Pudding – Old Fashioned Recipe Like My Mama Made

It was at the top of our family’s favorite dessert list along with Banana Pudding and Blackberry Cobbler! Today, when I think of the Rice Pudding baking in my grandmother’s kitchen stove, it brings back a warm and safe feeling of home and childhood days.
